Meetings

The Tree Board meets bi-monthly (as needed) at noon at the Parks and Recreation office, 2276 West Street. The Tree Board does not meet in June or July.

Members

The Tree Board consists of seven members and includes at-large member Chairman Michael Shelton, at-large member Sarah Barton, At-large member Jessica Seidner, Parks & Recreation Commission Liaison Kevin Young, Neighborhood Preservation Commission Liaison Gerald Wilson, Design Review Commission Liaison Paul Bruns, Beautification Commission Liaison Albert Pope, Planning Commission Liaison Jennifer Sission as well as Alderman Scott Sanders, Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Caleb Marcum, Planning Staff Liaison Sarah Goralewski and Staff Support Teresa Martin.

Farm Park Farm Hands lead young farmers to dig in the dirt, make compost, plant seeds, harvest crops, learn about visiting farm animals and more. Old fashion fun and games are woven into each session. Programs are taught by farm staff and parents are welcome but not required to stay. Children should come dressed for farm chores (they will get dirty) and exploration. Gloves and closed toed shoes are required.
