Purpose

The Historic Commission provides for the development and preservation of historic documents, structures, areas, oral history, pictorial history and other materials deemed essential to the historic significance of the City of Germantown.

Meetings

Third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Location varies. The commission does not meet in December.

Members

The commission consists of 12 members appointed by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and includes Chairman Kyle Eaton, Vice Chairman Marissa Rogers, George Browder, Edna Guntert, Dale Hicks, Sandra Wilson, John Paul Miles, Lucie Calvin, Angela Griffith, Sara Barton, John Vaden and Brian White - DRC Liaison. Non-Voting members include Parks and Recreation Assistant Director Caleb Marcum, Alderman Sherrie Hicks, City Historian Andrew Pouncey and Staff Support Teresa Martin.

The Board of Mayor and Aldermen will meet in a work session at Community Development, 1920 S. Germantown Road, in the Klein Room, on Wednesday, February 28 at 6 p.m., to discuss the Parks and Recreation Master Plan.

The work session will be open to the public.
