Purpose
The Germantown Athletic Club Advisory Commission advises the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on matters affecting the viability of the Club, including, but not limited to, the City's role in fitness programs, the long-term financial health of the Club, wellness opportunities available for members of the Club, infrastructure needs and maintenance of the Club, and operation of the Club as a quality athletic and fitness venue.

Meetings
First Wednesday of the month as needed at 6 p.m. at Germantown Athletic Club, 1801 Exeter Road.

Members
The commission consists of nine members appointed by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and includes Chairman Ric Wolbrecht, Richard Bernstein, Barbara Boyer, Dana Driver, Charles Hurst, Frank Lamanna, Gizelle Motley, Sylvia Poll, Gayle Verneuille, Athletic Club Director Amy LaRusso, Alderman Brian Ueleke and Staff Support Leala McLaughlin.

Germantown Bike Share Launch

  • Introduction: Join us for the celebratory launch of Germantown's new bike share program.
The City of Germantown, through a partnership between Healthy Germantown and Campbell Clinic, is excited to announce the launch of a new bike share program. Zagster will launch in Germantown on Thursday, April 19, making 10 smart bikes available for residents and visitors to make on-demand trips with just a tap on their smartphones. The inaugural launch will take place at the Germantown Athletic Club at 9 a.m. The launch will include a celebratory first ride led by Germantown elected officials, staff from Campbell Clinic and various members of the community.
