Purpose

The Library Board directs all the affairs of the Library, including appointing a Library Director, accepting donations and bequests to be used for library purposes and recommending Library rules and regulations to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. The Library Board consists of seven residents who serve three-year appointments.

Meetings
Fourth Tuesdays in January, March, May, July, September and November, at 5 p.m. at the Germantown Community Library, 1925 Exeter Road.

Members
The commission is appointed by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and includes Jeffrey Berman, Gail Braddock, Keith Loveless, Kent Mathis, Don Rhoades, Sridhar Shankar, Library Director Stephen Banister, Alderman Sherrie Hicks and Deputy City Administrator Lisa Piefer.

Mind & Meditation Online Session

Join certified instructors from the Art of Living Foundation in an online session to relax and recharge your body, mind and spirit through yogic breathing exercises, guided meditation and a taste of the Happiness Program. The session will be held online as a live Zoom meeting. An email address and installation of the Zoom app are required to sign up and attend the session. Pre-registration is required. Sign up by 5 p.m. Tuesday, November 17 by calling 901-757-7323 or stopping by the Information Desk during the library's business hours.
