Purpose
The Beautification Commission encourages the enhancement of the beauty of the City through the placing, planting and/or preservation of trees, flowers, plants, shrubbery and other objects of ornamentation in the City and to otherwise promote interest in the general improvements, appearance and cleanliness of the City.

Meetings
First Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation office, 2276 West Street.

Members
The Commission consists of twelve members appointed by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and includes Chairman Albert Pope, Ruth Crawford, Tammy Davis, Thom Parzinger, Susan Sharp, Rory Theeuwes, Beth Ueleke, David Mars, Pamela Solaas, Kathi Wright, Renee Abel and Larry Coley, as well as Parks and Recreation Director Natalie Ruffin, Assistant Director Caleb Marcum,  Alderman Scott Sanders and Staff Support Teresa Martin.

Bike and Pedestrian Commission Meeting

                                                                     Notice Regarding Electronic Meetings 

All local governing bodies in the State of Tennessee have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Germantown is no exception. In an effort to carry out its governance and operational responsibilities lawfully, and effectively, while also considering the protection of public health, safety and welfare, the Germantown City Administration has taken steps to conduct Board of Mayor and Aldermen and other public meetings electronically. These actions were taken in response to

Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order No. 71, an order extending Executive Order Nos. 16, 34, 51, 60 and 65, which suspended the requirements of the Tennessee Open Meetings Act to the extent necessary to allow governing bodies subject to the act to meet and conduct essential business by electronic means. The public will have access to all public meetings by real-time live audio access and be able to listen to the recording of the Senior Advisory Commission virtual meeting within 48 hours of the meeting. 

The public will have access to the Bike and Pedestrian Commission meeting via real-time live video and audio.  For real-time live video access of the meeting, click:  https://www.germantown-tn.gov/government/city-boards-commissions/watch-live-or-archived-meetings.  For real-time live audio access, please call 1-701-801-6027.

The public will be able to view the video recording of the Bike and Pedestrian Commission virtual meeting within 48 hours of the meeting.
