We are here to demystify how and why ordinary folks use trusts. Listed are some of the reasons: Federal and State estate planning, avoiding probate, planning for incapacity, making lifetime gifts to children, limiting said children’s access to their inheritance, protecting beneficiaries from themselves, divorce, creditor protection, and preventing bad decisions by a surviving spouse.
