The Germantown amateur radio community is preparing conduct an annual emergency preparedness drill on June 25 and 26 in Municipal Park, located 1910 South Germantown Road. The series of drills, often referred to as Field Day, begins at 1 p.m. and runs for 24 hours. Field Day is a national event for amateur radio operators as they put both their equipment and operational capabilities on display.
