Purpose

The Historic Commission provides for the development and preservation of historic documents, structures, areas, oral history, pictorial history and other materials deemed essential to the historic significance of the City of Germantown.

Meetings

Third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Location varies. The commission does not meet in December.

Members

The commission consists of 12 members appointed by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and includes Chairman Kyle Eaton, Vice Chairman Marissa Rogers, George Browder, Edna Guntert, Dale Hicks, Sandra Wilson, John Paul Miles, Lucie Calvin, Angela Griffith, Sara Barton, John Vaden and Brian White - DRC Liaison. Non-Voting members include Parks and Recreation Assistant Director Caleb Marcum, Alderman Sherrie Hicks, City Historian Andrew Pouncey and Staff Support Teresa Martin.

Tree Board Meeting

The City of Germantown welcomes public comment. Should you wish to speak on any of the item(s) on this agenda, please complete the Citizens to Be Heard form available at the meeting, which is required to address the Board. During the Citizens to Heard portion of the agenda, the Chair will open for Citizens to be Heard and call on those who wish to speak who have completed a form. Each side (support and opposition) shall have a maximum of 15 minutes, with no individual speaking longer than 3 minutes, subject to the discretion of the Chair.
