Purpose

The Transportation Commission is established to promote all viable means of transportation, to provide input on public transportation infrastructure projects and to advance the City's overall commitment to improved access and mobility for all forms of transportation, traditional and recreational, with a focus on drivers, commuters, cyclists and pedestrians. The commission will also advise in the development, review and update to the City's transportation plans, cyclist and pedestrian connectivity and establish priorities for City transportation planning efforts. 


Meetings

The Transportation Commission meets quarterly on the second Wednesday of the month (February, May, August and November) at the Parks and Recreation office, 2276 West Street. 

Members

The Commission consists of nine members, a designated member from the Planning Commission, a designated member from the Public Safety Education Commission and a designated member from the Parks and Recreation Commission, including a non-voting alderman liaison, The remaining six members shall be appointed by the BMA and shall serve three-year terms. Historic Commission Meeting

The City of Germantown welcomes public comment. Should you wish to speak on any of the item(s) on this agenda, please complete the Citizens to Be Heard form available at the meeting, which is required to address the Commission. During the Citizens to Heard portion of the agenda, the Chair will open for Citizens to be Heard and call on those who wish to speak who have completed a form. Each side (support and opposition) shall have a maximum of 15 minutes, with no individual speaking longer than 3 minutes, subject to the discretion of the Chair
