Meetings

The Tree Board meets bi-monthly (as needed) at noon at the Parks and Recreation office, 2276 West Street. The Tree Board does not meet in June or July.

Members

The Tree Board consists of seven members and includes at-large member Chairman Michael Shelton, at-large member Sarah Barton, At-large member Jessica Seidner, Parks & Recreation Commission Liaison Kevin Young, Neighborhood Preservation Commission Liaison Gerald Wilson, Design Review Commission Liaison Paul Bruns, Beautification Commission Liaison Albert Pope, Planning Commission Liaison Jennifer Sission as well as Alderman Scott Sanders, Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Caleb Marcum, Planning Staff Liaison Sarah Goralewski and Staff Support Teresa Martin.

50+ Group: Art Workshop

Instructor: Sarah Nowlin

Fee: $20

Students will create mini art creations by using various materials including: oil and chalk pastel, charcoal, paint, pencil, plaster, scratching, drawing, tearing cutting and gluing papers, cardboard and misc. materials. The goal of this class is to explore what it feels like to layer and play without the stress of finishing a large work of art. Students will be encouraged to work quickly and not plan.
