Purpose
The Parks and Recreation Commission maintains and plans a system of supervised recreational facilities and programs.

Meetings
Fourth Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation office, 2276 West Street. The commission does not meet in June, July or November or December.

Members
The Commission consists of nine members appointed by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and includes Chair Kevin Young, Vice Chair Mike Agee, Brett Borm, Matt Lubozynski, Michael Shelton, Matt Pierce, Nichole McNamee, Justin Gee and Vice Mayor Mary Anne Gibson. Liaisons include DRC Liaison- Brian Carney, Planning Liaison-Robert Sloan, P&R Director Natalie Ruffin, Assistant P&R Director Caleb Marcum and Staff Support Teresa Martin.

The regularly scheduled Parks and Recreation Commission meeting, Thursday, May 27, 5:30 p.m., is cancelled.

The Parks and Recreation Commission will attend the unveiling of the preliminary design plan for the Riverdale Park project on Thursday, May 13, 5:30 p.m., Community Development Blue Room.
