Purpose
The Neighborhood Preservation Commission strives to promote and preserve the integrity of residential neighborhoods and foster a sense of community in them.

Meetings
Meetings take place on the third Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Administration Conference Room at Germantown City Hall, 1930 S. Germantown Road.

Members
The commission consists of 12 members appointed by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and includes Chairman Ellen Bernstein, Cheron Allbright, Scott Balentine, Brian Everson, Peter Ganavazos, Allison Holden, Shawn Lane, Whitney Lane, Matthew May, Adrienne Pakis-Gillon, Marissa Rogers, Gerald Wilson, Staff Support Erinn Figg and Alderman Mary Anne Gibson.

Public Notice
The Germantown Board of Mayor and Aldermen will meet with City attorneys in a closed session on at 4:30 p.m. in the Administration Conference Room in the Municipal Building to discuss pending litigation.


Public Hearings
The City of Germantown is in receipt of a request for a temporary permit to sell beer for on-premise consumption from Mr. Steve Bernhardt, Chairman of Leadership Germantown for the Trivia Night event to be held at the Pickering Center at 7771 Poplar Pike on May 7, 2010. The event is a fundraiser for the 501(c)3 organization.

The request will be considered by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, sitting as a Beer Board, at the regular meeting of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen Meeting on Monday, April 26, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Center.

Anyone wishing to speak for or against this request is invited to attend this meeting.

The Board will also discuss the following proposed ordinance:
Ordinance 2010-2 Establishment of the Great Hall Advisory Commission

Any interested persons are invited to attend the meeting at which time this item will be discussed. Copies of the proposed ordinance may be obtained from the Administration Department in the Municipal Center, 757-7251.
