Purpose
The Board hears appeals regarding decisions of code inspectors or other administrative officials, interprets the official zoning map as to designations, considers uses on appeal for special uses in residential zoning districts and considers variances where exceptional practical difficulties or hardships are involved.

Meetings
Second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Germantown City Hall, 1930 South Germantown Road.

Members
The Board consists of seven voting members, including Chairman Jodie Bowden, Vice Chairman Frank Uhlhorn, Planning Commission Liaison Jim Jacobs, Andy Bland, Rick Towne, Laura Meanwell, and Alderman Mary Anne Gibson. Also present are: Assistant City Attorney Josh Whitehead and ECD Staff Liaisons Sarah Goralewski, Lillian Haddock, Sheila Pounder and Cameron Ross.

Western Gateway Public Design Charette

On February 25, the City of Germantown publicly kicked-off the development of the Poplar Avenue Small Area Plan.

Closing Presentation
The design team will present its set of preliminary recommendations for guiding growth, development and redevelopment over the next twenty years.
