The Finance Department's mission is to provide support services, ensuring the Germantown City Government is financially sound and provides exceptional services responsive to citizen needs.
Financial Services, located in City Hall at 1930 S. Germantown Road, is responsible for managing the City’s fiscal affairs and supports City departments through accounting, administrative services and financial reporting. Staff also manages City investments, obtains debt financing for capital projects and collects taxes, utility billings and other revenues.
Financial Services functions as the City's Retirement Plan's administrator, contracting with trustees, consultants and investment managers.
Germantown has maintained a triple-A credit rating with Moody’s since 1986 and with Standard and Poor’s since 1994.
Staff provides support to the Audit Commission, Financial Advisory Commission, and Retirement Plan Administration Commission.
