Home MenuCodes of Ethical Conduct
Germantown leaders believe that the foundation of all government in American society is the trust of the citizens in the integrity of public officials and that it is in the public interest to set forth clear standards of conduct for those who hold public office and exercise the prerogatives and powers of public trust.
Public welfare is served by having an articulated code of ethics so the general public may be informed about what is expected from City officials and employees. The codes of ethics also create a level of assurance that the business of the public is being conducted fairly and without undue influence.
As a result, the Board of Mayor and Aldermen of Germantown has established the Code of Ethical Conduct for Officials of the City of Germantown and for City Employees. Both codes are available in their entirety below.
