Meetings

The Tree Board meets bi-monthly (as needed) at noon at the Parks and Recreation office, 2276 West Street. The Tree Board does not meet in June or July.

Members

The Tree Board consists of seven members and includes at-large member Chairman Michael Shelton, at-large member Sarah Barton, At-large member Jessica Seidner, Parks & Recreation Commission Liaison Kevin Young, Neighborhood Preservation Commission Liaison Gerald Wilson, Design Review Commission Liaison Paul Bruns, Beautification Commission Liaison Albert Pope, Planning Commission Liaison Jennifer Sission as well as Alderman Scott Sanders, Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Caleb Marcum, Planning Staff Liaison Sarah Goralewski and Staff Support Teresa Martin.

Alassëa Vinyarië!

All ages are invited to begin 2014 with a movie trilogy marathon at the library in honor of J.R.R. Tolkien's birthday. Saturday, January 4 will kick off with the first film at 10 a.m., followed by a break for lunch. Join us in the afternoon for a beginner's lesson in writing in the Elvish language at 1:45 p.m., followed by the second film at 2:30 p.m.

We'll finish out the weekend on Sunday, January 5 with the final film, starting at 1:30 p.m.

Popcorn will be provided, as will beanbag chairs (eight beanbag chairs in addition to normal chairs). Come to one film, all of the films, or even just the lesson in Elvish writing. No pre-registration required. Films are rated PG-13. Call 757-7323 for more information.
