Purpose 
Serves as an economic development tool for the recruitment of new businesses and employment opportunities to our community, negotiates and accepts from corporation lessees payments in lieu of taxes.

Meetings 
The IDB meets on the third Thursday in January, May, August and November at 4 p.m. at the Economic and Community Development office, 1920 South Germantown Road. 

Members 
The commission consists of five members and includes Chairman Henry Evans, Vice Chairman Mike Harless, Janet Geyer, Rocky Janda, Juliet Klein, Steven Levy and Michael McLaughlin. Staff includes City Administrator Jason Huisman, Economic and Community Development Director Cameron Ross.

Council Of Neighborhood Associations Meeting

Guest Speaker: Paul Chandler, Executive Director of the Germantown Performing Arts Center The mission of the Germantown Performing Arts Center (GPAC) is to serve the community by presenting the highest quality artistic endeavors to engage, enrich, and transform. Opened in 1994, GPAC immediately became a place where excellence is the norm and where the world would come to perform. Currently in their 19th season, GPAC presents world renowned performing artists in a variety of genres, year round educational activities for all ages including the GPAC Youth Symphony Orchestra, rotating visual art exhibits and many community events welcoming over 70,000 visitors annually.
