Meetings

The Tree Board meets bi-monthly (as needed) at noon at the Parks and Recreation office, 2276 West Street. The Tree Board does not meet in June or July.

Members

The Tree Board consists of seven members and includes at-large member Chairman Michael Shelton, at-large member Sarah Barton, At-large member Jessica Seidner, Parks & Recreation Commission Liaison Kevin Young, Neighborhood Preservation Commission Liaison Gerald Wilson, Design Review Commission Liaison Paul Bruns, Beautification Commission Liaison Albert Pope, Planning Commission Liaison Jennifer Sission as well as Alderman Scott Sanders, Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Caleb Marcum, Planning Staff Liaison Sarah Goralewski and Staff Support Teresa Martin.

The air dancers of Valeria’s Wings, along with visual artists, ballerinas, preachers, clowns, musicians, mothers, spoken word artists, children and adult actors collaborate on an originally-designed stage to physically express themselves in “The Great American Playground.” Performers will interact with several original “play” structures while exploring the ideas surrounding the great outdoors, physical activities, and childhood memories of playtime. This show is a partnership between Germantown Performing Arts Center, Val Russell and Streb.
