Meetings

The Tree Board meets bi-monthly (as needed) at noon at the Parks and Recreation office, 2276 West Street. The Tree Board does not meet in June or July.

Members

The Tree Board consists of seven members and includes at-large member Chairman Michael Shelton, at-large member Sarah Barton, At-large member Jessica Seidner, Parks & Recreation Commission Liaison Kevin Young, Neighborhood Preservation Commission Liaison Gerald Wilson, Design Review Commission Liaison Paul Bruns, Beautification Commission Liaison Albert Pope, Planning Commission Liaison Jennifer Sission as well as Alderman Scott Sanders, Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Caleb Marcum, Planning Staff Liaison Sarah Goralewski and Staff Support Teresa Martin.

The community garden, a working model of suburban agriculture, is a central feature of the Farm Park. The Community Garden Association is seeking members for the upcoming growing season. Individuals and families interested in gardening, access to healthy food and community service and stewardship are invited to participate. Returning members, experienced gardeners and newcomers are welcome. Applications will be accepted through May 1 or until capacity is reached.
