50+ Active Aging

Active Aging programs are for Germantown residents who are 50 years and older. 

If you are interested in meeting new people, socializing with old friends, participating in our weekly activities or taking a trip to interesting places, then the Germantown 50+ Group is for you! All activities take place at the Pickering Center, 7771 Poplar Pike, unless otherwise noted. Senior Day Trip - Tennessee River Freshwater Pearl Museum

Senior Day Trips provide a unique opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds of local tourism commodities. For registration information, contact Regina Allen at Regina@Germantown-TN.gov or (901) 757-7375.

Located in Camden, Tennessee, this farm is the only pearl-culturing project of its kind in the U.S. The trip includes transportation, lunch and a guided tour with the owner. The tour departs from Germantown Athletic Club, 1801 Exeter Road, at 8 a.m. and returns at approximately 5 p.m.
