50+ Active Aging

Active Aging programs are for Germantown residents who are 50 years and older. 

If you are interested in meeting new people, socializing with old friends, participating in our weekly activities or taking a trip to interesting places, then the Germantown 50+ Group is for you! All activities take place at the Pickering Center, 7771 Poplar Pike, unless otherwise noted.  The Germantown Parks and Recreation 50+ Coordinator works diligently to plan and coordinate several events and programs throughout the year. For more information about upcoming programs and events, see below or visit Germantown-TN.gov/Calendar.

Groovin', Grillin' and Reelin' Concert and Movie Series

Join us this summer on Tuesdays, June 5, 12, 19, and 26 for the all new Groovin’, Grillin, and Reelin’ Concert and Movie Series. Food service starts at 6 p.m. Live music starts at 7 p.m. Featured film starts at 8:30 p.m.

Fee: Free concert and movie, $3 hot dog combo, $5 hamburger combo

June 5 Soul Shockers - R&B party band

June 12 Memphis Ukulele Band - Unique Memphis sound and soul
Featured Film- JAWS

June 19        Blind Mississippi Morris - Delta Blues
Featured Film- The Mighty Ducks

June 26 Jamie Baker and the VIPs - R&B party band
Featured Film- Marry Poppins (sponsored by Germantown Community Library)
