Purpose 
Serves as an economic development tool for the recruitment of new businesses and employment opportunities to our community, negotiates and accepts from corporation lessees payments in lieu of taxes.

Meetings 
The IDB meets on the third Thursday in January, May, August and November at 4 p.m. at the Economic and Community Development office, 1920 South Germantown Road. 

Members 
The commission consists of five members and includes Chairman Henry Evans, Vice Chairman Mike Harless, Janet Geyer, Rocky Janda, Juliet Klein, Steven Levy and Michael McLaughlin. Staff includes City Administrator Jason Huisman, Economic and Community Development Director Cameron Ross.

Germantown Neighborhood Summit

Strengthen your neighborhood by joining us for an evening of learning, networking and celebrating. Whether a longtime neighborhood leader, newly elected board member or simply a resident interested in starting a new neighborhood association, the free event will focus on neighborhood preservation, emergency preparedness and effective communication. Plus, visit over 25 vendors. Light refreshments available. NO children, please. Must be present to win Grand Prize at event conclusion.
