Purpose
The Neighborhood Preservation Commission strives to promote and preserve the integrity of residential neighborhoods and foster a sense of community in them.

Meetings
Meetings take place on the third Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Administration Conference Room at Germantown City Hall, 1930 S. Germantown Road.

Members
The commission consists of 12 members appointed by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and includes Chairman Ellen Bernstein, Cheron Allbright, Scott Balentine, Brian Everson, Peter Ganavazos, Allison Holden, Shawn Lane, Whitney Lane, Matthew May, Adrienne Pakis-Gillon, Marissa Rogers, Gerald Wilson, Staff Support Erinn Figg and Alderman Mary Anne Gibson.

Notice Regarding Electronic Meetings

All local governing bodies in the State of Tennessee have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Germantown is no exception.  In an effort to carry out its governance and operational responsibilities lawfully, and effectively, while also considering the protection of public health, safety and welfare, the Germantown City Administration has taken steps to conduct Board of Mayor and Aldermen and other public meetings electronically.  These actions were taken in response to Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order No. 71, an order extending Executive Order Nos. 16, 34, 51, 60, and 65 which suspended the requirements of the Tennessee Open Meetings Act to the extent necessary to allow governing bodies subject to the act to meet and conduct essential business by electronic means.

 

The public will have access to the Planning Commission meeting via real-time live video and audio.  For real-time live video access of the meeting, click:  https://www.germantown-tn.gov/government/city-boards-commissions/watch-live-or-archived-meetings.  For real-time live audio access, please call 1-701-801-6027.

 

The public will be able to view the video recording of the Planning Commission virtual meeting within 48 hours of the meeting. To view the recording click https://www.germantown-tn.gov/government/city-boards-commissions/watch-live-or-archived-meetings .These measures are temporary, and are due to expire on February 27, 2021 unless further action is taken by Governor Lee.

 

The City complies with the American Disabilities Act. Should you need accommodations, call 757-7200 at least 48 hours in advance of meeting.

 

The meeting may also be view on Comcast Channel 17 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99.

 

The scheduled ending time for the meeting is an estimated time.

 

PUBLIC COMMENT OPTION (SEE BELOW)

The City of Germantown and the Planning Commission encourage active participation and engagement with governing by making available public commenting for each item as part of the meeting agenda. Please send your submittals, 500 words or less, to PCPH@germantown-tn.gov and must include your name, address and phone number. In the subject line, please write the agenda item number and project name (eg. 5A - Forest Hill Grill). All emails submitted by the scheduled meeting date, no later than 12 pm, will be delivered to the Board prior to the 6 pm Board Meeting.
