Active Aging programs are for Germantown residents who are 50 years and older. 

If you are interested in meeting new people, socializing with old friends, participating in our weekly activities or taking a trip to interesting places, then the Germantown 50+ Group is for you! All activities take place at the Pickering Center, 7771 Poplar Pike, unless otherwise noted. The Germantown Parks and Recreation 50+ Coordinator works diligently to plan and coordinate several events and programs throughout the year. For more information about upcoming programs and events, see below or visit Germantown-TN.gov/Calendar.

Learning from the Technology Coach: iPad OS

Fee: $25 per four-class session
Bring your device, Apple ID and password to class. No experience is required. Register early, space is limited. Register at the Parks and Recreation office, 2276 West Street, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Acceptable methods of payment include credit card or check payable to City of Germantown. No cash is accepted in the office. 

Maximize your iPad use through hands-on learning. The iPad class includes basic operation, device navigation and settings, using the newly-designed home screen, utilizing dark mode, slide over and split view and other new features.
