Purpose
The Financial Advisory Commission advises and assists in review and development of City’s financial and budgetary policies, including annual budget practices, long range financial planning, purchasing, capital asset management, capital expenditures and personnel salary administration.

The commission consists of members appointed by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and includes Chairman Michael McLaughlin, Hal Beckham, Brian Carney, Tom Cassidy, James Dickey, Jason Herrington, Matthew Johnson, Russell Johnson, Jerry Kirkscey, Wesley Lacey, Jason Lowe, Christine Menzel, Frederick Miller, Frank Monteleone, Julius Moody, J.R. Parsons, Michael Pascal, Rob Sievers, Harold Steinberg, Donald Theeuwes, Finance Director Adrienne Royals and Alderman Brian Ueleke.

The Board of Mayor and Aldermen will meet in a video conference Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 4 p.m. to discuss capital improvements. Time meeting ends is an estimate.

Notice Regarding Electronic Meetings
All local governing bodies in the State of Tennessee have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Germantown is no exception.  In an effort to carry out its governance and operational responsibilities lawfully, and effectively, while also considering the protection of public health, safety and welfare, the Germantown City Administration has taken steps to conduct Board of Mayor and Aldermen and other public meetings electronically.  These actions were taken in response to Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order No. 78, an order extending Executive Order Nos. 16, 34, 51, 60, 65 and 71, which suspended the requirements of the Tennessee Open Meetings Act to the extent necessary to allow governing bodies subject to the act to meet and conduct essential business by electronic means.

The public will have access to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting via real-time live video.  For real-time live video access of the meeting, click:  https://www.germantown-tn.gov/government/city-boards-commissions/watch-live-or-archived-meetings

The public will be able to view the video recording of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen virtual meeting within 48 hours of the meeting. To view the recording click https://www.germantown-tn.gov/government/city-boards-commissions/watch-live-or-archived-meetings .These measures are temporary, and are due to expire on April 28, 2021 unless further action is taken by Governor Lee.
