Art of the Scent with Christian Stanfield

The Art of Scent, presented by Christian Stanfield, is an interactive program that will walk you through the smells and stories behind the most iconic fragrances of the 20th century. Learn the fascinating history of these exciting perfumes, see which celebrities wore them, and best of all, have the chance to smell the actual fragrances. Stanfield brings bottles and blotters to pass around, has placards showing images of “who wore what” and attendees share memories of scents they wore.

Presented in partnership with Creative Aging, each session is led by talented artists. Creativity enhances one’s sense of control, offers social engagement, enhances physical and mental functioning, and improves attitude. All sessions are free and take place at the Pickering Center, 7771 Poplar Pike unless otherwise noted. Pre-registration is required and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, call Parks and Recreation office at (901) 757-7375.
