In partnership with Creative Aging, each session is led by talented local artists. Creativity enhances one’s sense of control, offers social engagement, enhances physical and mental functioning and improves attitude. All sessions are free and take place at the Pickering Center, 7771 Poplar Pike, unless otherwise noted. The Double D Band plays a wide variety of songs and genres, especially music from the 50s. Playing guitars and mandolins, they have appeared on MTV, BBC and have been a part of the music scene in London, England and New York City, having lived and performed in both.
