Meetings

The Tree Board meets bi-monthly (as needed) at noon at the Parks and Recreation office, 2276 West Street. The Tree Board does not meet in June or July.

Members

The Tree Board consists of seven members and includes at-large member Chairman Michael Shelton, at-large member Sarah Barton, At-large member Jessica Seidner, Parks & Recreation Commission Liaison Kevin Young, Neighborhood Preservation Commission Liaison Gerald Wilson, Design Review Commission Liaison Paul Bruns, Beautification Commission Liaison Albert Pope, Planning Commission Liaison Jennifer Sission as well as Alderman Scott Sanders, Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Caleb Marcum, Planning Staff Liaison Sarah Goralewski and Staff Support Teresa Martin.

Spanish for Travelers

These Spanish classes are for adults desiring to learn Spanish for traveling. We will focus on developing conversation by using a large variety of topics such as: music, poetry, culture, basic conversation vocabulary, art, and any other topics the attendees would like to cover. Additionally, the classes will provide exposure to a wide range of useful idiomatic phrases. Each class will cover a specific topic, so attendees who miss a class will be able to participate in any other class. Taught by Dr. Dora Berry. Sessions will be each Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. from December 7, 2023 - March 14, 2024. Ages 18+.
