Meetings

The Tree Board meets bi-monthly (as needed) at noon at the Parks and Recreation office, 2276 West Street. The Tree Board does not meet in June or July.

Members

The Tree Board consists of seven members and includes at-large member Chairman Michael Shelton, at-large member Sarah Barton, At-large member Jessica Seidner, Parks & Recreation Commission Liaison Kevin Young, Neighborhood Preservation Commission Liaison Gerald Wilson, Design Review Commission Liaison Paul Bruns, Beautification Commission Liaison Albert Pope, Planning Commission Liaison Jennifer Sission as well as Alderman Scott Sanders, Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Caleb Marcum, Planning Staff Liaison Sarah Goralewski and Staff Support Teresa Martin.

Friends of the Germantown Animal Shelter Charity Auction

The Friends of the Germantown Animal Shelter will be holding their tenth annual charity auction on Saturday, March 9, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Pickering Center located at 7771 Poplar Pike in Germantown. There will be a variety of items to bid on, including gift offerings from local shops and restaurants, unique household items, gifts for your pets and autographed sports memorabilia. All money raised will be used to support various needs and activities at the shelter. Tickets for the event are $20 in advance, $25 at the door and $10 for children under 12. To purchase tickets, stop by the Germantown Animal Shelter at 7700 Southern Avenue, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, contact Steve Morley at (901) 826-7123.
