Iris Collective Orchestra: Andrew Grams (Conductor) and Awadagin Prattt (Soloist)

Naumburg International Piano Competition winner Awadagin Pratt gives the Memphis premiere of a piece co-commissioned by Iris. Rounds for piano and string orchestra gives composer Jesse Montgomery's perspective on the epic poem Four Quartets by T.S. Eliot. Paired with this work is Bach's Keyboard Concerto in A major. Conductor Andrew Grams returns to lead this program which gives the audience visual perspectives on Schubert's Death and the Maiden quartet arranged for string orchestra by Gustav Mahler. In a semester-long residency, Iris musicians collaborated with photography students from Bartlett High School to present this interdisciplinary work.
