Meetings

The Tree Board meets bi-monthly (as needed) at noon at the Parks and Recreation office, 2276 West Street. The Tree Board does not meet in June or July.

Members

The Tree Board consists of seven members and includes at-large member Chairman Michael Shelton, at-large member Sarah Barton, At-large member Jessica Seidner, Parks & Recreation Commission Liaison Kevin Young, Neighborhood Preservation Commission Liaison Gerald Wilson, Design Review Commission Liaison Paul Bruns, Beautification Commission Liaison Albert Pope, Planning Commission Liaison Jennifer Sission as well as Alderman Scott Sanders, Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Caleb Marcum, Planning Staff Liaison Sarah Goralewski and Staff Support Teresa Martin.

Places of Faith Tour

The Germantown Historical Preservation Association will present a Places of Faith tour of three historic Germantown places of worship on April 13 at 2 p.m. The $15 tour will begin at Kingsway Christian, move on to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Chapel and conclude at St. George Episcopal Church’s original chapel. Parking is available at each location. Each chapel will showcase what is unique and historic, with personal stories, photographs and examples of how much the chapels were the center of our community. Attendees will also learn about their restorations and other historical tidbits. Tickets are available for purchase at eventbrite.com.
