Join us for a conversation with Uma Joshi, a visiting author from India, to hear more about her book Panchtantra Katha Manjari: A Coffee Table Book. The stories within offer hidden wisdom and are the foundation for many of the famous fables in multiple cultures today. This is an artistically designed, colored, illustrated book in simple and dignified Hindi language, complemented with some 100 Indian Miniature Art Paintings

About the Author:

"I am a professor, a psychologist, researcher and academician with an experience of some 43 years of teaching, training, and research in Psychology in institutions of repute in Rajasthan, India. I have been working on Panchtantra for last more than 20 years in different capacities - (Principal investigator of minor Project sponsored by UGC on Training Life skills through Panchtantra stories, Principal Psychologist consultant to a project initiated by Akshyapatra in Rajasthan to impart Life skill training through Panchtantra stories, designed a practical course at masters level in department of psychology, on life skills through Panchtantra at Banasthali University and an elective course at Amity University,
Rajasthan; supervised two Ph.D. Researches on Panchtantra; conducted many training programs and workshops on applied aspect of panchtantra.
As a committed educationist, my vision is to revive and disseminate the forgotten teachings of vedic neetishastra of panchtantra (principles of wise conduct) to tender minds and make their life meaningful and the world peaceful."
