50+ Active Aging

Active Aging programs are for Germantown residents who are 50 years and older. 

If you are interested in meeting new people, socializing with old friends, participating in our weekly activities or taking a trip to interesting places, then the Germantown 50+ Group is for you! All activities take place at the Pickering Center, 7771 Poplar Pike, unless otherwise noted. 50+ Group: Holiday Dance Featuring Brad Birkedahl

Fee: $10 per person

Dance the night away with Brad Birkedahl and his trio. Brad has been a Memphis Beale Street featured performer since moving to Memphis from Tacoma, Washington in 1998 as co-founder of the rockabilly trio, The Dempseys. Brad continues to perform as a solo artist with The Brad Birkedahl Band. His musical influences include the great rockabilly artists from Memphis’ Sun Records; Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Charlie Rich. Brad also offers an extensive repertoire of Elvis music ranging from the 1950s through the 1970s. Light refreshments will be served. Alcohol is prohibited. Space is limited. All registrations and payment must be made before the dance (no tickets sold at the door). Registration is required.
