Meetings

The Tree Board meets bi-monthly (as needed) at noon at the Parks and Recreation office, 2276 West Street. The Tree Board does not meet in June or July.

Members

The Tree Board consists of seven members and includes at-large member Chairman Michael Shelton, at-large member Sarah Barton, At-large member Jessica Seidner, Parks & Recreation Commission Liaison Kevin Young, Neighborhood Preservation Commission Liaison Gerald Wilson, Design Review Commission Liaison Paul Bruns, Beautification Commission Liaison Albert Pope, Planning Commission Liaison Jennifer Sission as well as Alderman Scott Sanders, Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Caleb Marcum, Planning Staff Liaison Sarah Goralewski and Staff Support Teresa Martin.

Best dressed contest at 11 a.m., race at 11:30 a.m.
Fee: $10 per dog for costume contest, $35 per dog for race
The Running of the Weenies is a race for those lovable wiener-shaped Dachshunds. Presented by the Germantown Animal Shelter, these short but swift racers never fail to entertain. Pre-registration is required by Thursday, August 29, at 3:30 p.m. No late registration will be accepted. Register at the Germantown Animal Shelter, 7700 Southern Avenue.
