The award-winning City of Germantown Communications Team plays a pivotal role in enhancing community engagement and disseminating vital information to residents. Led by Chief Communications Officer Stacey Crockett, the team includes Marketing and Communications Manager Jessica Comas, Community Engagement Coordinator Erinn Figg and Digital Journalist Brad Villane.
The team spearheaded the recent redesign of the City website, creating a more user-friendly and dynamic interface. By incorporating engaging video content into various communication initiatives such as City@Work, Up Front and social media, they have significantly broadened the City’s reach. The team introduced innovative digital journalism, most notably with the “First on the Scene” series.
Their efforts have revitalized community engagement through quarterly Neighborhood Leaders Socials, which average 35 attendees and feature key municipal insights from City officials. They also facilitated the Neighborhood Preservation Commission’s annual Tour of Remodeled Homes and Landscapes, which saw record attendance. In addition, the team sends weekly emails to neighborhood leaders to ensure consistent communication and strong relationships.
Overall, the Communications Team is dedicated to fostering community connections, enhancing transparency, and promoting City initiatives through a variety of innovative and engaging methods.
