Be Prepared
Germantown Fire Department is committed to helping citizens prepare for emergency situations. Just thinking about it means you're one step closer. We've all done it: put off today what you can do tomorrow. But what if tomorrow isn't like today? What if tomorrow you find yourself coping with an unexpected emergency or natural disaster? How prepared are you? Study after study shows that just thinking about emergency preparedness will improve how you—and your community–will come through the challenge. So go ahead, think about it. Better yet, take some action.

Fire Insurance
Citizens and business owners of Germantown benefit from excellent fire insurance rates, primarily due to the City’s fire protection raging and low annual fire loss.  Since August 2017, the City of Germantown was awarded and has maintained a Class 1 rating from the Insurance Services Office (ISO) on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the best.  Germantown is only one of eight departments in TN to achieve this top rating.  The rating reflects Germantown’s continuous efforts to provide excellent fire protection, water supply, public safety dispatch, and community risk reduction services for our community.  This Class 1 ISO Rating is one of the factors weighed by insurance companies and could result in improved insurance rates for residential and commercial property owners in Germantown.  For additional information, contact Kelly White at (901) 751-7600.
