Germantown has 29 parks, sports complexes, special facilities and other green spaces, covering more than 600 acres of land. These feature athletic fields and courts, picnic areas, biking/walking trails, playgrounds and facilities reflect one of the department’s goals which provides the community with recreational and leisure opportunities within a half mile of every home.

Know Before You Visit

  • Pets must be on a leash at all times in all parks, sports complexes, the Wolf River Nature Area and along the Greenway. By City ordinance, pet owners are responsible for removing animal waste.

  • Parks are open from dawn to dusk unless otherwise posted or when sanctioned activities require extended hours

  • Safe parks are important in Germantown. Park rangers patrol every park location. If you need help, have a question or just want to have a friendly chat with a ranger about trees, wildlife or native plants, look for the uniformed park ranger in the marked “Park Ranger” vehicle. Police also patrol within and around the parks. For concerns regarding parks, call (901) 757-7375.

  • A complete list of park rules is available here.
